Happy new year everyone!
And there are some incredible stands on this thread so I figured I would ask some advice. I am in the process of building a 125G stand and the only issue I might run into is how to make flush 45 degree cuts to connect two corners of trim.
My tools are pretty minimal and I believe my circular saw has a way to make the cuts but not sure how I would get them exact.
Thanks in advance and great stands!
The easiest cheapest way IMO if you don't have a lot of trim to cut is to buy a miter box and saw. They are fairly cheap and you can make very accurate and clean 45 degree cuts. Here is a link to one at lowes for $15. http://www.lowes.com/pd_48795-355-20-600Y_0__. If you live near a harbor freight you can pick one up for less than $10. Just make sure you utilize the the mounting holes in the box and mount it to a workbench or something solid and it will make cutting the pieces a million times easier.
