This is a very simple shot of leaves on a bush after rain, but I really like it for some reason:

very simple but very deep at the same time... I love this picture it's says a lot about nature in such a "simple way"

A couple of pictures I took of my fish that I was sort of happy with, just got a D80, can't really figure it out so this is what I have so far...

looks like a green spotted puffer Marc which is a brackish fish and gets to be about 8 inches long i believe in captivity. they start out their life in mostly the freshwater side of brackish deltas and then as they get older demand more salinity.

I've got to ask you where these were taken?

It reminds me of Labrador.

I love it...

Thanks. The photo was taken on top of the Beartooth Pass on the border between Montana and Wyoming (USA) at about 10,000 feet of elevation.

I'm in the market for a new camera and was wondering what cameras people were using to take these pics

I'm using a Nikon D70. More important than the camera, in my opinion, is the lens. I use a Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 GED DX.

Is that a tiny saltwater puffer? How large is it?

Its a green spotted puffer, he is about 2 inches but will grow to be 6. I've never heard of them getting to be 8 inches, they were probably thinking of one of the other bw puffers. GSPs are an awesome fish, I love them, Milton is very amusing.

Those were taken with a D100 but I just upgraded to a D200. I also got a Nikkor 18-135 GED DX lens to go with it. Really made a difference.

I guess you know now Nikon has a D300 and they just sent out a PR on the new D60. For entry level the D60 might be the one to get. I own a D40.

Some of your shots are amazing!!! Here's a couple of mine:

I like this one because it does not look like a tank shot - looks like it was taken on the reef.

This one is doctored alittle with Photoshop but came out pretty cool.
