Following along. Our fish room is in the works right now, all planned out and being built. The room behind the tank cut out is new - we put the walls all in to make the fish room. We can't wait! .

How far is the tank from the garage?

My setup is not as pristine clean and organized (it's a garage anyway). "Plan as you go". Kinda clattered, since I'm constantly adding new stuff. Gazillion of wires, since I put everything above water. Computer and multiple Arduinos control everything.
Reef tank is on the left, freshwater is one the right.

Big blue barrel is filled by RO wastewater and daily freshwater tank water-change. Dumped daily into my garden

Update on our fish room. It's coming along. DT Tank was put into place last night. The 2 20 longs are QTs. There will be fresh water and mixed in two 40g breeders on the right of the QTs. 90g fuge going under the tank, and a 30 custom lifereef sump. Frag tank will be tied in as well. This room is getting smaller day by day [emoji13]

Ebay! You can find them for around $250-300 with a single head, with patience.

I'd post pictures but it would look like a laundry closet. Oh wait, it is the laundry closet. It's a requirement for the next house when the kids finish college and I leave lovely Long Island. Till then I'll keep dreaming of a fish room.
