I think this could be a great thread idea.

Many LFS's will have juvenile tangs, triggers, batfish, parrotfish, etc. And few, or no adult fish, for comparison.

Newcomers buy these cute fish without knowing the facts, or convince themselves that there's no way this little fish will grow beyond the capacity of their system.

If fed properly, the above fish will quickly outgrow many/most tanks, fight and kill tankmates, live with stress, and in many cases die. Often 5 or 10 years sooner than their life expectancy.

Seeing actual photos of systems with obviously poor choices could help educate others, and prevent them from making similar decisions.

It could also help prevent people from buying "just one more fish", knowing that some of their current inhabitants are destined to grow significantly larger.

Did you just make a point? This is madness...Thanks TripleT.

What because nobody is showing pictures? Yea it is worthless...

My original post was just asking for pictures....just like people ask for pictures of other fish etc....yet snorvich asked for a point, I don't think it can be more obvious.

Although you asked me in a private message, you continue in public. I have no intention of replying to a message like that in private as it would only start a disagreeable exchange for which I have no inclination. Ok, so here goes. Your original thread was intended to be controversial (its called trolling) and in effect to thumb your nose at those people who don't think tangs should be kept in small tanks. You already stated that you don't think much of the people on the board, presumably myself included. This is starting to have negative value.

Did I say I have a problem with YOU?! Funny how I post in some of the same threads as you and tampa and argue tank size for certain fish. My profanity removed point here is that everyone on this profanity removed board wants to put big fish in tiny tanks, so when I ask for simple proof of someone with a large tang in a small tank...I GET NONE! Making a point to people that want to put these big fish in small tanks.

"I didn't expect any pictures" that should have been an obvious clue...LOOK AT MY SIG! WOW...
