Is it GSP?

Yes.
There are different species , growth forms of GSP, and even corals from other famalies that get confused with GSP! Just like other corals, lighting and flow will greatly effect this corals growth form and color. However Pachyclavularia violacea is the most common, and IME can and will develop a lot like OwNeD162 GSP has.Originally posted by OwNeD162
How is it that they get it to look like grass like that? Most GSP I see seem to always be long, and extended?
Is it a special type?

If you see MinibowMatts post above, he has it all along his back-top wall, but as he said its not GSP, its an encrusting gorgonian. I bet anything that its a Briarium sp. Here is a VERY generalized description of the two: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/reef/soft_cor/grnstar.php
Lowredranger, that is an awesome little tank you have there!
