I would believe that silversides are a little too big for lps corals---frozen cyclopeeze would be adequate

What kind of photoperiod are people using for their lps tanks.
I have an east facing window so the sun has been coming in pretty strong from 8 -12 noon.
I was thinking of cutting back on the halides to six hours and the attinics to 8hours
(I am not being cheap but am trying to bring down the energy costs now that I am unemployed again.)

ok, here's my 180......i'm planning on expanding my adventure into the world of lps and softies and reduce the sps to a few choice pieces!

thanks for reviving the thread sdreefsurf.
Awesome looking tank.
Curious why you are shifting from sps to lps---usually it is the other way around

Here is my "frogspawn forest" of sorts. I was rearranging my main tank (75g) so I put all my Euphyllia in a 40b that I was in the process of setting up (to raise the RBTAs seen in the background). I decided to take a pic of my hammer/frogspawn collection while they were all in one spot. There are also a couple of duncans in the pic that you can see.

My clowns that decided to host my frogspawn after 2 years (I gave up hoping that it would after 6 months).

that is really interesting---frogspawn close to a rbta----have you checked out that arrangement at nigh as to a possible star wars going on:D

Here is an updated shot nearing 1 year old. Will be coming down soon as the 280 is about to go up.

They were only like that for two or three days. I then got my main tank rearranged and all the LPS went back into the display.

The tank I took those pictures in has turned into mainly a display for the clones of that RBTA. (some cepitularia "blue xenia" in there too). I have cut that anemone several times and I am up to one really big half, and 6 smaller "clones." My goal is to have about 10 anemones in there that I can cut every other month for sale to the LFSs in the area.

Is that a purple torch in the right lower side above the fungia? If it is, that is cool. I want one like that. :)
