I'm building my next reef tank at the moment and building my photography skills on other subjects while that's in progress. I hope you don't mind the non-reef shots.

Andy,

Great shots! Creative idea on the snowflake.

Do you mind me asking what camera/lens combo you are using.

I recently got my Sony A-200 and I am still learning how to use the f-stops, ISO's, etc. It would be nice if there was a place to take a class on it (even on-line would work for me!)

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! The camera is the Canon 20D. For most of the shots I used my new toy: the MPe-65mm lens, which is a pretty crazy lens to use. It only does macro photography. The furthest away that you can focus is 1:1 and it goes from there up to 5:1. And, there is no focussing ring. All focus is done by moving the camera body until whatever you want is in focus. Fun to use, though.

The last three animals were too far away from the glass to use that lens, so I used the 100mm macro.

This is, hands down, the best book I read to help me understand what was going on with the manual settings: http://www.amazon.com/Understanding...bs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210166683&sr=8-1
