That thing is an absolute BEAST. I think it intimidates the skum out of your reef. When it comes to your skimmer...size matters!!!!

Also known as gut packing....I feed the skimmer guard a heavy Iodized salt diet to supplement iodine......

for the smaller reefs...but I should also have a larger version that can kill any HOB up & running in the next week...for $10 in acrylic and a pump.

Are the seals on those saltwater safe or did you replace w/ something different?

they state that saltwater seals are available. What I ddin't see was pricing. Looks like another directdrive pump option. There are quite a few out there actually, though the ones we are most familiar with are sequence and ampeater.
