Reefer those are amazing! What camera settings are you using? I can't seem to get the full color in mine. Even when I use the tripod and turn off the water flow.

just got it today... I have been on a waiting list for 6months for this piece and I end up finding it around the corner from my house, and it turns out to be the ORIGINAL Owner of the flamethrower that sold a frag to BPC it is now renown and know as BPC Flamethrower Chalice.

I think its actually an Acan. Most likely Acanthastrea echinata. Mindful placement is important with this species because they love to take out other corals.

New favia we picked up on our honeymoon.
Not a favia, that's an acan enchinata, nice piece/pattern though.

Ah, first enchinata I've owned so had no clue, acan lords are all I've ever had pretty much, got tons of sps but very few LPS... just assumed since the polyps are attached together similar to favias and their relatives and it's structure looked almost the same as the christmas favia I have, where the polyps grown together and are not seperated. Comparing pictures of other echinatas though looks like that's what it is...still like the lps though for sure!
