if you were in the states you could sell this for big bucks. Chalice in this color combo are seldom seen and fetch some serious coin. Looks like the famed bahama mama or sexy corals shocker chalice.

Newest Acan addition. Unfortunately my Acans are stressed out due to a crappy salt at the moment. Guess I'll have to go shell out for some boutique salt to make them happy again.

And my first Chalice frag. Seems to be an Echinophyllia costata.

Here's a shot of the mother colony from the shop, before it got fragged:

Here are some better pictures of it. I had to adjust the color setting on my Panasonic Lumix since it is set to auto by default and the colors weren't coming through when taking underwater pictures. I set it to "warm" to get the true life colors to show up for an actual representation of this piece. This is what it really looks like in person. ;)

Enjoy...

Wow looks like a bunch of really nice stuff it might help some of us that would like to get some really high end stuff as well to let us know where and how you got it. I do not have a good camera so getting pics of my stuff just would look bad:(

Indeed, in Hong Kong is much cheaper to buy the coral, but the style is still a lot more you

That is seriously the coolest coral......ever! I would love to see a huge colony.

Thanks for the very nice words. I am trying to get the rest of the colony to color up that nicely. The polyps facing the higher light is more mettalic yellowish orange. I guess they need less light.

Here's my baby. For size reference, the black leopard wrasse is about 1.5-2". I've had this piece for less than a year and it has at least doubled in size.

Do you speak on behalf of the "Federal Bureau of ultra ultra ultra LPS"? Everyone has their own unique perspective on what's a nice piece. As well, what you think is ultra at your location, may be the most common and somewhat bland piece everyone has somewhere else. I think there are plenty of good posts in the thread recently.

So true...It's almost impossible to find coral like that in eastern Canada. IMO 95 % of the pictures in this post are Ultra Ultra Ultra.

My favorite fungia.

My favorite fungia.

Just picked this guy up at Reefapalooza in Costa Mesa for $200.00

My favorite coral in the tank. Wish us luck!
