Show off your ANGELS!

Thanks for the info Chris...They're a neat fish, but I would assume more delicate than Regal's to acclimate to captivity. Too bad that Frank isnt breeding them anymore...
I also love your other angels...

I'm in the homework/research stage of a 250 gallon display future set up and I will have an Imperator angel in it along with my Regal....Beautiful Clarion too, I just dislike how the adult coloration changes. Kinda like Holacanthus africanus. The Juvi's are gorgeous, but the adult coloration is drab in comparison...

What are the dimensions of your display tank?

Nick

I love the coloration of the adult clarion. There is not another angel that looks like it. The orange is unreal.

As for the dimensions of my new display tank is 10' x 3' x 3'. IT will be a FOWLR and will be mainly angels.

Wow...can't wait to see that monster of tank! :D

I have 3 in my 225 -

3 year old 4" Coral Beauty - here playing with it's reflection:

3 year old 3.25 " Flame:

And a 7.5" Queen that I have had for about a year now; it is about 6 years old (the original owner had it for 5 years, I believe):

Everyone gets along and (so far) the Queen has been a model citizen; even my clams are ignored - but she will gobble up an entire 8 X 10 sheet of Nori by herself inside of 30 minutes :D

Carlso, Nice angels. Your queen is actually a townsend. A cross of a blue and a queen. Pretty cool you have one in a reef.

Chris, 4 more fish? All angels? Come on man! Spill it! Conspic? Scibbled? Clipperton, peppermint, kingi! :D

I should have some pics for you guys tuesday, hopefully I get my french and queen. They are just babes though, nothing special, hopefully they grow into some beauties though!

Hi Brandon :) Thank you!

Well, I no longer the fish (switched to a reef and sold it to a local) but it wasn't super aggressive. It really just commanded respect. As long as I had it (I bought it at 6-7" and it grew to 11.5" in 3 years) it was the largest fish in the tank, so no one messed with it. It was a very loud grunter, but it never got aggressive like I have seen tangs get.

Thats a nice looking queen you got there :)

Thank you! I just got him from another hobbyist who was breaking his tank down. I hope he gets a streamer! I have a few more angels going into QT next week, so I will try my best to keep the thread alive.

Beautiful Potters angel....I've always loved them.

What are you keeping yours with and what kind of system (FO or reef?) is it in?

Mine is in a 90g mixed reef. I have about 120lbs of LR and I also have a pair of occelaris clowns, pair of bangaiis and a yellow tang. Poses no aggression to other fish.

I have:
2 clams, 2 anemones, zoas, hammers and frogspawn, various other LPS, xenia, athelia, ricordea and other shrooms and I have no issues.

When i first put my duncans in there, it would peck at the skeleton which would bother them, but after I put the duncans in my fuge for 2 weeks and put them back into the DT, they have been fine. He wasnt pecking at the actual tissue, just the skeletons like it was a rock.

this is my second potters and I have to say, both were model fish. (except the first one died of marine velvet.)
