Anyone ever notice some blennys look like they have fangs? My bicolors side looks like he has fangs because of the white markings.

Yes, some blennies have venomous fangs, but they aren't advertised as dangerous by the online vendors. I like the canary blenny, but read it is venomous so I'm doing some research before I go out and buy something that might kill me.

I noticed most of these pictures are of herbavorous blennies. Are they picking on your corals?

i loved my bicolor before it went carpet surfing. first fish i ever lost to that. like mentioned earlier, it also had a favorite hole. funny how they stay in the same hole every night.

What I meant was more like this

My bicolor has the same kind of markings on the side of the mouth so it looks like fangs but its not.

Ember Blenny!!!!

I couldn't find that fish anywhere that looked like that when I searched amber blenny but it did show up with the name leopard blenny.

These Ember blennys might be the orange streaked blennys, but only in the juvenile state.

They might turn colors/paterns going from juvenile to adult like a large angel?

Nice, thats a pretty neat picture. My bicolor only sits on mushrooms. Its be nice if I could see mine jump into anthelias.
It would be nice if mine would jump out of them! This is his new favorite spot and the anthelias are starting to get annoyed with him in there... It does make for a great picture though!

Yep. It's a rare type of blenny, also known as the read streaked blenny I believe. Cirripectes Stigmaticus, I think this is the correct name for them. They are a maroon colour with a light grey marking through out its body. I used to own one for about 18 months, but it passed away, I think it had a disease in it's gills :(

Cheers

Chris
