Yes, some blennies have venomous fangs, but they aren't advertised as dangerous by the online vendors. I like the canary blenny, but read it is venomous so I'm doing some research before I go out and buy something that might kill me.Originally posted by happyface888
Anyone ever notice some blennys look like they have fangs?

I noticed most of these pictures are of herbavorous blennies. Are they picking on your corals?

It would be nice if mine would jump out of them! This is his new favorite spot and the anthelias are starting to get annoyed with him in there... It does make for a great picture though!Originally posted by happyface888
Nice, thats a pretty neat picture. My bicolor only sits on mushrooms. Its be nice if I could see mine jump into anthelias.

Yep. It's a rare type of blenny, also known as the read streaked blenny I believe. Cirripectes Stigmaticus, I think this is the correct name for them. They are a maroon colour with a light grey marking through out its body. I used to own one for about 18 months, but it passed away, I think it had a disease in it's gills![]()
