I have a piece of this exact coral coming indirectly from Chi in the next few days. I am like a kid waiting for Xmas.

My frag came from Chi (from Michigan). It's possible both of our frags come from the same colony. This is actually one of my favorites in the tank right now. I did recently pick of frags of the Lime in the Sky, Ultimate Stag, Pink Lemonade, and Acroberry though so we will have to see how it holds out against them once they grow out. :)

That look just like the piece I was drooling over at the INDMAS frag swap from YZ reef

scraping my memory, I think mine came from a guy named fishgeekrus...and I believe he was buddy's with the YZ guys, so that is very possible.

So how much did you photoshop that thing? I know sometimes its difficult to capture the tru colors on corals but that pic looks a little more enhanced.

Shouldn't really need to defend, but that color is spot on - it is pretty vivid top down. You can check the white in any pic to see if the white balance is correct (and at the base, you can see this photo is adjusted properly). and btw, color is usually may more off (i.e. blue), if you do not photoshop pics. It always cracks me up when people act like if you don't photoshop, the color will magically be exactly what you see in person. People spend years photographing reefs and thousands on equipment, and would kill to be able to just click and get accurate colors without any post-processing....

Here is a little better picture of my purple granusola. The last picture was under just my supplemental light (two T5s) this one is under my MHs:

No no I'm not arguing with you. I also do a little post processing to get the exposure etc correct. I was just asking, it wasn't an attack. There is a couple spots in the pic where it looks like the vibrance/saturation might have been overdone thats all.

Nice gran'ies everyone!:D
When these guys hit the market a couple years ago, it was totally a must have. And only haunted me til I finally got it!

How old are these corals? I can't seem to keep them for over a year, does anyone have a really old one?.

I've had mine for about 8 years now. The original frag came from a local reefer and he's had it for about 2-3 years before that. They like to grow out over a ledge of your rockwork.
