I'm not sure on if it grows faster or not i believe it just depends on your system and how high you have it suspended

They grow the same. However unlike a coral mounted onto a hard surface they dont encrust first because there is nothing to encrust to. So they start growing out right away instead.

Nice prop tank can you please share the dimensions of this tank.
Can't wait to see the 3 larger systems.

It is a 44x18x8 with starphire front from glass cages. I have not had the time or funds to setup the next two, but they will be 48x24x10

I built the tank myself from 3/8" acrylic. You can see my build thread here:

It is 3' x 4' x 12" ... works out to about 90 gallons full. I also am using a 55 gallon tank as the sump.

If all goes well, I will have water in it by the end of next week! I can't wait. I have been working on this for almost a year.

Hers mine Still setting up and need lighting. Its 18 x 72 x12 I have in plumbeed into the maine system Which is 225 reef with 55 gal sump 55 gal refugium and this frag tank.

here is mine in the mock up stage I still have to clean the glass and build a tray to hold the sock filter oh and get a skimmer ..the tanks are all 38 long they were drilled already but holes are holes and I will still use them.I cant complain I only gave 25 bucks a piece for them .the lights are both 4x54 tek with geisman bulbs .

There are so many great systems here. I just thought I would share my 20 gal.

seaclone skimmer (soon to be cpr)
mj 1200 w/ deflector(some more for water motion)
hydro nano

The frag holding tank has been running for about a month. It still needs some more work. All the frags come from clippings from my 40 gallon.( I think its a show tank) I plan on redo the rack but the some basic design.
