they are so smart, curious, and unique, ime, beyond many other trigs and angels...just great fish...in the wild they will often seek out divers to interact with and they bring that endlessly curious fascination to our tanks...

I'm sure you have a large system but be prepared to remove the Sohal one day WHEN he becomes that size, or watch the Sohal kill off the other tangs

Yeah I am prepared to move him. Probably start a big fowlr at my mom's and put him in with some angels.

He is about 10 inches. He is fairly well behaved. He and the big rabbitfish churn the water once in a while but that is it. I do have a big chevron that is surprisingly the instigator of the tank.

I think clownfish are the one fish that can never get old because they are all different (designer clowns that is)

Unless you don't like clownfish...nasty little damsels.

Pterois sphex (the "other" Hawaiian lionfish, pretty rare on the mainland):

I dunno how "rare" they are other than cost, but this Rhinopias frondosa was a stunner:

This thread is a "tuffy", as pretty much all of our fishes are on the rarer side...
