Show off your Rarest/Most Colorful SPS corals

colorful AND RARE...I think it's gotta be my Tyree Pink Dragontails. I don't think too many people have it and I heard the original colony is gone:

Can I ask how you have it placed in terms of light/flow? I got the same piece from Hugo but mine is no where like yours.

Thanks guys. I find that the higher you put these thin branched deepwater sps, the lighter they get. I have my dragontail in the middle of my tank. I'm running 3x400w 20k MH, but my tank is covered. My tank has a decent amount of flow through the middle too. I have 2x6155 and 2x6205 Tunze alternating on the sides.

Anyway, I have the Mr. Pacman too and it took me forever to find a place in my tank that it liked. I had it higher up like my dragontail and it stayed very pale and hardly grew. Then I lowered it and I actually placed it somewhat under a Tunze so it doesn't get direct light. Now it colored up really well and is growing relatively fast now.

HTH, let me know if you have any other questions.

Wow! Rigerwilco. Whatever the second pic with the red and blue echinata looking acro is its amazing. Definately would like some of that!

Lovin that Tyree Dragontails!

Is it just me or do these deeper water acros grow pretty quickly? I see alot of RD mini colonies already... Ive grown out some turaki and lokani frags in what seemed like no time. They should be plentiful soon enough if their not too sensitive.

I think most of them do grow fairly quick. However, in my experience they are one of the first to show signs of stress or die when something goes wrong in the tank...

I love threads like this but they may as well say "If no DSLR, no post."
Great thread, but now I have camera envy in addition to coral envy😉
