Here is a quick shot of 16 of the 18 tangs in the tank.

I will look for some other close ups...

bit off topic but ive been looking through your gallery (WOW, btw) i was just wondering how your water params are with the tangs and what your planning on doing with the shark when he grows

This is a new picture

I skim 4600 gallons per hour and water change 10% every 3-4 weeks. I also run a bunch of phosphate remover. My water quality is not consistant enough to run stonies but my softies and a few LPS do just fine.

I will donate the shark when he gets too big...He is a family favorite. :)

I love the light reflecting off of his side

Me too.

Also, i think your tank is beautiful enough without Stonies

My desjardini just came down with ich. Took me an hour to catch him, but he's now being treated.

Had him 1 year, 75gal, 6"

you can bump all you want.......... but its STILL going to be at LEAST a few months before I can get some tangs to take a picture of, in my tank that doesn't exist yet :D

I can understand your impatience, but geez!

nice shots capn hylinur

thanks kar93

What's you feeling on three tangs in a 120 gal--a picked up a little flack on another thread
I think I compensate for swimming room by the flow--it is 45 times the tank volume per hour in the tank itself
The tangs seem to like to float down with the current from the koriias in the corners and swimm back up against the flow

Im not sure about 3 in a 120, I posted a thread about this a while back and some replies said 3 would be fine in a 120 and 3 wouldnt but maybe the experts can help

Should be ok for a little while!

Should be ok for a little while!

I'm no expert but I had a 120 with 2 of these Tangs, the Sailfin and the Hippo. I assume this 120 is 4'x2'x2'?

They got along great but they were only in this tank together for about a year and a half. The Sailfin was about 6" and the Hippo about 5" when they went into a 180.

I think when you include the Yellow Tang you will eventually have too many fish.

What it looks like to me is that you need to start planning a larger tank. :D

Your tank looks great, just imagine what you could do with something bigger!
