yea iam not sure. I think that a lot of the places where people get the fish from dont ship to uk area and even if they do it will probably take a lot longer. But i am not sure. I am definitely going to look into the mimic even know i think that is a little much but i love those fish and i will be sure to check it out.

I love my mimic/chocolate. Great fish and gets along very will with the others.

Kar i will post pic for you a little later. man do i love this tang already. he has great color and is picking at the rocks like crazy. I picked up 10 snails, sand sifiting star and the number one buy the Chocolate Mimic tang.

Ah, Great you got him. How big? How much if you dont mind? Has he still got full yellow colouring?

Yes i did get him. he is about 5 inches i think he is perfect size for the tank. he is a adult tang. He or she was 80 bucks. Dont know if its male or female. but here are some pictures. Some of them are not that good because he just doesn't stop moving. After about an hour in the tank he went crazy on picking on the rocks.

I also just thought i would post a FTS for you. You can see the algae that iam talking about.

your tank is well set up to give the tang the maximum swimming room

curious how long it has been setup--the rock looks like it is still curing

I am not sure what i am going to do about that yet. I mean i love the gold back ground. I think it looks really great but i haven't decided yet.

Thanks Capn_hylinur, the tank has been setup with rock in it gor 2 months. With fish it has been almost a month.

It is not my point to judge here--only to be helpful--but your tank does not look healthy judging by the algae on the rock and the substrate and the positioning of your returns and korilia

The first question I would have would be flow issues--in the 90 gal you should have about 15x' tank turn over per hour.
That would be over 2000 gph. It doesn't look like you have that
Plus you need to have the surface churning for oxygen exchange and a good flow in and around the rock work and across the substrate. In order to accomplish that in your set up I would suggest three korilias and have one of the loc lines pushing straight down to the substrate.

The second question question is your filtration system. Do you have a sump and a protein skimmer?

BTW another way of giving tangs swimming area is to give them current---I have a turn over rate of 55 times in my tank and the tangs swimm against it all day, let the current push them back, swim against it again---kind of like hamsters in an exercise wheel:lol:

LOL the two korilas are plenty of flow. My fish are always swimming towars the powerheads and getting pushed back to the other side of the tank. very funny. I am running a sump and skimmer.

Just to give you an idea from my tank, I have an mjmod (1400 to 1600 gph) on the left side, a K4 (1200 gph) on the right, a mj1200 in the middle with a hydor rotator and the return is a mag 9.5. I think I'm at about 35x's + turnover. I'm looking for more flow even.

Ok, I am glad you feel this way---but this is why I made the suggestion to you---and since you didn't ask for it, I guess I was out of line-----
this is the earliest pic I have of my tank --I believe it was 10 weeks. Notice the condition of the rock and substrate.
