He is in a big tank with lots of swimming room and gets all he can eat. I think anyone who follows that simple recipe can keep most any fish relatively easily except for the truly difficult fish that shouldnt be available to any tom dick or harry that wants it in the first place

thanks for the input. I am not sure about my size tank though, its a 110 long so its 5ft in length. Last thing I want is for him to be stressed.

Pike614 - yes, he is a baby due to his size. The above quote is correct, as his 'natural adult size' is huge. I think it's somewhere between 18-24 inches.
I don't know if any of you guys and gals have 'rescue stories' about some of your fish but here is mine...
I met a guy that had that fish in an Aquapod. For those of you that don't know, it is a 24 gallon aquarium. I became friends with him and talked him into getting him out of that tank. I put him in mine, yes it is too small and he will outgrow it eventually but I figured he's better off with me in my 180 rather than a 24. Just my opinion.
Pretty similar to how I got my Mata Tang and Unicorn Tang. Both fish came in to the LFS and were sitting in 20 gallon tanks...and I KNEW they would be sold to people with tiny tanks. I see it up there all the time. I watched the owner sell a PBT once to a woman that had JUST set up her 20 gallon tank. This was the beginning of January and she set the tank up for Christmas. I only know this because I heard her telling the owner the story as I was standing there! He had NO problems selling her a $100 fish for such a small uncycled tank. He's probably figuring that he gets his $100 for the PBT, gets her to upgrade when she realizes the tank is too small...or she'll come in to replace the fish when it dies from stress/disease.
I'm a sucker for the fishies that I can tell are doomed. Same thing with the Oriental Sweetlips. I see them at my LFS ALL the time. I see people looking at them, and of course they are juvies...and I'll tell the interested people that they need a BIG tank. The LFS seems to 'forget' to tell people sometimes. I don't like the dishonestness that goes on in this hobby sometimes. Another one I see is the bamboo shark eggs. I know someone that bought one with a 75 gallon tank. :rolleye1:
