Show off your tangs

I know it's only a yellow tang, but I wanted to contribute anyway. Besides, he's the only tang that sits still long enough for me to take a picture.

I'll try to get pictures of my other tangs later, but when using a crappy camera it's pretty difficult. :D

By use of blogs I think we can accomplish what was attempted in the first place--to create an accurate and easily assible list of tang information
Looking forward to everyones input, corrections help, links etc ect

Well I just thought I'd contribute a photo of my Yellow Tang 'Sassy'

This is a shot of her checking out the new arrival (the shrimp goby)

I always enjoy watching her when there is a new fish or coral (or anything for that matter, snail, crab, etc.) shes always the first to notice it, but has never been aggressive toward anything.... except diving through the small group of Chromis every now and then.... But I just think she likes to make them scatter, kinda like bowling pins......

I've been looking for more photos of her but it seems as if she is great at dodging the camera!! I'll have to try and get a better one soon.....

Great Thread BTW!!

Hello All,

Wanted to share pictures of my first tang, which also happens to be my first saltwater fish ever!

I'm at the tail end of cycling my 180 gallon tank (been up for 8 weeks).

Last Wednesday, August 6, I added this Tomini Tang. He's the only vertebrate in the tank so far, but I'm placing an order for a few more fish, including 4-5 additional tangs, in the next few days.

So far it's been eating algae like crazy. I'm in the middle of an algae bloom and the tang is having a feast!

Here are some pics:

As soon as I have more tangs and better pictures I will be posting more!

Best, Itay.
