Not rare, but a pretty colony of Kryptonites. All my rare ones are in my Biocube, and I'm currently fighting cyano. :(

I have a frag of those and purple hornets...
They were sold to me as Japanese deep waters?

Just to clear up some common misconceptions....these are Blue Hornets or also called Steve Oh's Black Hole Suns...they have a distinct white center.

Purple Hornets are very similar, but do not have the white center....

By the color pattern...they look like many of the recent (year or so) of Japanese deep water zoanthids. I don't know that many have been "named" at the moment. Nonetheless, they are very good looking corals.

IMHO, I couldn't care less about names. I like to get specimens that look good to me.

i always need input on corals before i buy them, even zoanthids. the more info the better.

Those are some sweet looking zoas....if you have or are getting them....keep me in the loop. I am a fan of the DW Japanese zoas and have a few. Just a little tougher to keep alive and growing than most.

allison and i have some. but i can't seem to get my camera to WORK:mad2: my cell phone takes better pics.

Grouper Genius, I am a little confused. Are you telling me that the picture above are not purple hornets. I got them from the same source and the same time that you and a few select around the area got them.
