The guy we got those from was misrepresenting and called them Purple Hornets. But yes, those are Blue Hornets. Still a fine looking zoanthid and worth the price we paid IMHO.

+1 on blue hornets.....Purples only have a small white mouth not a white center....If you gt them for a good price who cares about the name. I would love to have a polyp or two they are awesome looking....Everyone keep posting I love to look at them! Mine will be up today so everyone can laugh at them...LOL

These next 2 pictures are Purple Hornets from zoaid. The centers are darker along with a little green or white if you wish to call it that showing around the mouth.

Here is a pciture of the Blue Hornets (african blue hornets)

Someone show me a clean clear picture of the Blue hornets and a link where to see them because I can not find them ....not the african.

Here's from zoaID. They heve been sold as both names. The African Blue Hornets hit the market a little later.

it might just be me but mine resembles the Purple Hornets more. The centers start of purple and fade to green which could be my lighting and the Blackhole suns/blue hornets are a solid white center.
