Show us your Duncans & advice please!

I bought 2 heads for 30 dollars about 4 months ago. Now I have 14 in different stages. I feed it fish pellets roughly 3 times a week.

Thanks to everyone for your pics and advice! Those are all good pics . You guys (and gals) are really getting me excited about this new coral. Boy ,that sounds pretty pathetic. I guess I just easily entertained.
Well It should be arriving tomorrow. I will post some pics then.
Good to know about the pellets ,I will be more likely to feed them when I don't have to run to the freezer and thaw mysis.

They are awesome corals.

They, for me at least, are very particular about alkalinity. When my Alk took a dive in my old tank, they were the first to go. Luckily 1 head survived, and is doing great in my new set up.

Mine were/are also very particular about flow. If the flow isn't just right, they will only open 1/4 to 1/2 way.

I picked up a two head frag last summer for about 45US, I feed one to two times a week and they have about 8-10 new heads. My perc kept hosting the and mine didn't realy care too much for that so they have been moved. In terms of lighting my duncans are in around 15cm of water under 192w of PC and 150w of MH with moderate flow.

I bought mine with two heads a year ago and now it has over 15. Mine seems to be very sensitive to calcium and alkalinity. if the calcium drops below 350 they close up tight. wont open until I get that calcium level back up. has anyone else seen this?

Well guys 9:35 am and I just got it . I am a little concerned the bag feels very cold below 60 degrees I bet, probably more like 50. Have it sitting on top of the tank for now so it will gradually warm before I float it in the tank. It will be a miracle if this thing survives.

SNAKEMANVET ,love to see that pic!

Here is the before picture of mine , just mounted and 20 minutes in the tank. Polyps are just staeting to open .There are 3 healthy main heads one of which has 4 new polyps sprouting and there 3 more heads that are not so hot but with the right conditions they may spring back.

Your Duncans look fine. I'm sure they will pull through the shipping with no problem. In your second pic, it looks like one of them is already starting to open.

Here are a couple pics of mine after catching a little snack...

Outrageous pictures, looks like that crab was pulled from it's shell.

Oh yes another "Festivus Miracle" (for you Seinfeld fan's) Yes, they are opening. First pic was in too strong a current so I moved it to the second spot. I do not like the gaping of the mouths . That was the way my yumas looked before perishing.
Is the gaping normal?

they are looking better and better, I bet they will do fine... keep them well-fed at first so they recover from shipping. I bought one with just 2 heads about 2 months ago and now it is about 6... I love it! Congrats!

Anyone have a guess what I could sell my 65 head duncan for if I dont frag it???

I live in the midwest near chicago (not sure if region of USA affects price)......I had a guy offer me 200$ for it....Yet at times I see 1 and 2 head frags for 20 to 30 dollars. If I get 20 dollars a head that is $1200.

I bought it for 40 bucks when it was 15 heads......It has the flourescent green center with pink tips.
