Love all the new pics of your duncans everyone!

All my newly fragged pieces are doing great. The single polyp has actually budded a new head although you can not see from the pic.

Update.
I am really glad I decided to frag these guys. I believe the polyps were so tight that the ones in the center of the colony were not getting as much light as the outer ones. Since the fragging I have seen a lot of new heads for four months. My single, 6 head and 8 head frags have become 4, 14 and 18 head frags.

About softball sized, probably over 100 heads. Purchased nearly 3 years ago as a 6-headed specimen. Target fed Mysis, Cyclopeeze, Ocean Nutrition's Arctic-Pods, or Rod's Coral Food, twice a week.

I've got big and little Duncans:

I lusted over them years ago and when I started my tank up again I grabbed the big ones for $20 when I saw them in a LFS. And the little ones came with a biocube my hubby bought.

Very nice! I think those small duncans will grow as big as your others in no time.

I agree, they've sprouted a new head in the month I've had them and are slightly larger by circumference.

They're new to this area: I'd wanted to try some Australian corals, and this one turned up, one of the green/pink sort, so I got my chance. I do very well with euphyllia stony---Fragging only encouraged mine, and I need to diversify. So this is one that I'm trying under the same conditions, 13000k mh, on the bottom sand, params as in sig line. It seems to like the conditions: I bought 3 heads off a larger piece, and it's expanding nicely. My lfs is hoping I can do this as successfully as the hammer and frog.

Yeah, I have fed mine a few times but that has been about it . They do seem to catch a fair ammount when I feed my fish though.

OK, I finally decided to frag mine this morning. I now have a colony of 8, 6 and a single. Should give them some more light and room for growth!

Bought as Aussie Emerald Duncans, target feed each polyp some Mysis and cyclopeeze, some Coral Frenzy for baby polyps 2X weekly.

Curious, I just picked up a Duncan that has about 12 "heads" for $95.
Is that about the ballpark?

I didn't go in looking to buy it, so I really don't know much about them. I looked it up on my phone, and it should do well in my tank and everything just wasn't sure on price.

It's acclimating at the moment, I'll get some pics up later.

That is a pretty fair price considering I am seeing them for 25$ a head at my LFS and they were tiny .

Duncans are definitely one of my favorite corals. You are going to love them . Fast growing, easy to frag and hardy.

Good luck with them and I am looking foward to seeing the pics.

Upon closer look, it seems like there's about 15 or 16 Heads.
Already looks like it's completely opening up, even after falling off it's spot a few times.
Not it's nice and secure.

That is a nice piece. You did well. I can tell it has not fully acclimated to your tank yet. Give it a little time and you will see how big those polys will get. Plus the " tenticles " will get longer! If it keeps falling you might want to mount it to a Liverock base.
