Show Us Your Fish Only Tanks

I actually have 4 chocolate chip starfish in there.I have no problems with them eating them.Only my queen trigger bothers them. She likes to pick them up and flip them over.As fo snails and crabs, between the queen and the goldenheart, they finished off all of them in no time.

How about that starfish in the rocks...

Oh and as foor the waste i run a big octopuss skimmer. And i do a 40 gallon water change monthley with new carbon and phosphate material addded.Right now i am keeping my nitrates aroung 40 to 50 which aint to bad as i have alot of pigs in there and i feed extremely heavy. This tends to keep the aggression down with that many triggers in one tank.Oh and i also don't feed them anything live and never had. Here is a pic of my custom made filter out of a 70 gallon tank.

Yep he was a customer trade in at my local fish store and they names him CHIp.He eats everything. They had him there since march and i got tired of waiting on a good price for a golden puffer so i decided he would be a good addition. He likes to go around the tank and blow in the sand.He is kind of funny.

I just noticed you guinea fowl has a chipped tooth hahahaha thats awesome doesnt seem to bother him though he looks nice and healthy!

The moorish idol was only added about 4 months, but so far he seems to be doing well.

The 4 flame angels were added all at once. My strategy was to pick out a very large one and add 3 small ones to the mix. They seem to perform some kind of nightly mating dance with the large one nudging the midsection of a smaller one, but I haven't seen any spawning acitivity.

I had a pair of flame angels that were equal in size that coexisted happily in a 90 gallon for over 18 months before the tank was taken down and livestock sold.

Yes i did.Jason and my wife finally talked me into it.

Trigger Freak did you get the Guinea Fowl from the Keys fish store?, because they had a similar looking puffer named Chip.:)

Beezer I have been wanting to do a harem of pygmy's but don't have the room and think they would get killed. They are beautiful. Don't know why you don't see more harems in tanks. How old is your tank and the Idol? Regards, Tim

just affraid he might kill everyone
i may try it now

I love your tanks. Hopefully in 3 months, when my 150 DT is stocked, I'll post some of my pics.
A question. Most of the tanks seem to have pretty sparse LR. Are you keeping to the 1-1.5 lb LR / gallon? Are you hiding some of it in the sump to give the fish more room to swim?

I have my sump loaded with liverock. I gradually took it out of the display for more swimming room for the fish. I sometimes wish i went with my initial idea for my 180 DT and only get small fish. Keep a bunch flashers, small wrasses, pygmy angels, gobies, basslets, pseudos, etc. I think that would be really great to see. You could get so many fish . I am going that route next time. I think in a bout a year or two I will remove the big guys and go this route. Anyone know of anyone who has a fowler with just smaller fish? Regards, Tim

Whats the temperament of the Golden Heart Trigger? Pretty aggressive or passive?

Looks similar to the Gambian Blue Spotted Trigger.

PS how do i post a picture?

Thanks
