DANG! I was trying to post before Todd did.

In my opinion, if you want color and durability, go with haddoni. If you want longer tentacles (shag carpet) and a much more delicate animal, go with gigantea.

;) Thanks. If I had just taken longer washing/waxing the car.

I love your full shot of the green Haddoni with the saddleback.

Gigs have some nice colors, but they are harder to keep and harder to find a healthy one.

Should note, that while I haven't had any real issues with this, a good amount of Haddoni owners have lost some fish to them.

what type of anemone is that purple one? and what type of clowns are those? just regular percs?

The anemone is a gigantea and I would consider the perculas to be onyx.

haha the clown is in the anemones mouth. that is the coolest picture ever!

Thanks:) Unfortunately I had to separate the two of them. I don't think the haddoni liked having a 5+ inch fish swimming around in its belly.

those onyx clowns are gorgeous!!! i think i will have to get myself a pair of those. also, i have decided to get a carpet anemone now i just need to pick a color.

Welcome to RC.
Are those ORA picasso's or are they from another breeder? They are flawless!

Thank you for the welcome...

The picassos are from ORA. They are approximately 16 months old and just starting to fill in with black.

Wow those are some great pics.

I really need to learn to wield my wife's camera better :D

Here is my and the pic quality stinks.

This is my 1st carpet (have had bubbles and sebaes in the past) and it has moved from the spot in the pics to the sandbed

Couple of quick questions for the previous posters that have posted pics.

What lighting do you have them under?

How much flow does your tank and the area near your anemone have?

What type of tank do you keep them in...IE mixed reef... fish only etc etc

Any other good tips that you think are important to keeping a carpet.

Thanks
