That's my camera hog of a green spotted puffer. They start life fw then move to brackish then full sw. I skipped the brackish part with this one and just dripped her over 18 hours to full sw.

I love puffers and have not been with out at least one since I started sw, this particular puffer being my first sw fish period.

Well I like LTA's personally:) And your clowns will eventually head in. It looks bleached though. maybe its just that the color isnt getting picked up. But it should not be white like it looks in the pic. Typically they are pretty dark colored. I would watch that puffer it may like a bite of that nem and maybe some coral and maybe a lil bit of the clowns and maybe a lil bit of....etc. Those type of puffers usually kill darn near everything in the tank with them. But of course there are exceptions.

+1 that it looks bleached, and if indeed it's a LTA it seems you don't have sand which they require, that's why they are also known as sand anemones.

It's little bleached looks like mine that I've had for 8 years. But it looks really healthy and remember these LTA do get big.

I've had thia puffer for almost 2 years and the only thing she has ever gone after was a scarlet hermit. She is very well behaved.

What can I do to help the bleaching? I just replaced my bulbs today with a 10k and 460 actinic bulbs. They are 54 watt cause that's what I had laying around.

I didn't realize they had to have sand, I saw pics of them on rocks and then it hasn't moved an inch in a week. I'll got get some sand to put in.

And if it matter my clowns are Occ. Pic of em below

The sand protects their foot and gives them a spot to retract as needed. They are using the rock as a pseudo, but would be much happier and might expand some in sand.

As to the bleaching.

How about some tank parameters?

Gallon
lights and timing (natural light near by?)
pH
Temp
Nitrate
Nitrite
feeding (normally not taking it into effect)
Have you fed it yet?
Other inhabitants?

Age of tank?
