Shrimp held in sump

I have a picky young dwarf lion, trying everything but we're going away for 2+ weeks and wanted to put about 60 SW ghost shrimp in sump for friend to feed. Is that OK for the sump?

ghost shrimp are freshwater.......

I think it wouldn't be a problem. People that have refugiums put snails and whatnot in them and sometimes fish that are getting picked on or are getting out of quarantine to allow them to adjust to the tank water. i'd say go for it.

You should't have problem, the shrimp won't hurt anything
