shrimpfish?

I just got a striped shrimpfish from LiveAquaria yesterday (actually two, but one bag burst and that one didn't make it). I was surprised when it ate LBS out of the bag, but even more surprised when it attempted to eat frozen mysis this morning. The problem is that it can't seem to choke down the mysis. I've had pipefish with smaller snouts eat this size mysis so I'm not sure what to think.

Anyone have any experience with them; specifically related to feeding? He seems very alert, so I'm hoping to have good luck with him. I'm just afraid since he's alone he won't do as well as they're schooling.

contact Liveaquaria and im sure they will ship you out another one.. just tell them what happened... they have GREAT customer service

Yeah, already got that part taken care of. Unfortuantely they sold out of them; which really worries me because they're schooling. Hopefully this guy won't get too upset.

I'm going to try some cyclopeeze and see if he'll take that.

You could also try H2O mini mysis, and also Sweetwater zooplankton.Good luck...let us know how it goes. I keep fish such as dragonface and bluestripe pipefish, so I know what it is to worry about whether they are getting enough to eat.

Well, my shrimpfish was dead this morning. He was looking good before that, and eating (though he still struggled with big food items). He was so cool too.
