I said a few weeks ago after we had to put my dog to sleep, that I would be shutting down my tanks. Well, the time has come, and I am getting ready to turn off everything. I will be out of the country for a month starting next Saturday (12/20), so everything is up for grabs. Here is what I have for now :
55 gallon Freshwater planted Tank and cabinet stand . Heavily planted, with three rainbows, and a few cherry barbs. Eheim 2215 canister filter, Coralife PC w/4x65W PC Lights. Will need new tubes. Tank has been In continuous operation since 1994.
38 Gallon "softie tank" & cabinet stand with 2x96W Custom SeaLIfe PC & moonlites (will also need new tubes), PriZm Deluxe Skimmer. In operation for about six years. Need a good home for my Yellow Tang and serpent star, both have been with the tank since the start. CaribSea sand bed (~1" deep) and ~40 lbs of rock. Tank has a bunch of zoas which are not doing too well, primarily because the lights are shot, and some other softies. It also has a huge rock with about eight heads of hairy mushrooms that started with a 2" rock I got from Marvin a few years ago. He gave it away "because it was not doing anything" - he should see it now !! This will make a good "starter tank" for some one just for the price of a set of new lights.
30g Tank with homebuilt stand drilled bottom rear right corner with ~10-12 lbs of rock and sand bed.
You can check out pics of tanks in better days in my gallery.
All of the above available to any taker, live stock must go first, definitely by this weekend. After that I will empty the tanks and if you still want anything I may be able to hold them for pickup after I return next month.
I am not asking for any money for anything, but will appreciate any donations you may want to make to the "Patches Fund" to the West End Animal Clinic in Radford, where we are setting up a fund to help folks with costs for lab tests for their pets. Alternatively donate to your local animal shelter.
Hopefully I will start back sometime when things settle down a bit - so Matt I will still need that reactor ...
PM or email if you need more details.
