just to let the people know the launch has been set for wed's instead of tuesday. i can get you on the river in merritt island for 10 dollars a car full. just pm for more info. my wife was unable to get a launch pass this time. but this will be close. and my house is also a good choice to watch due to my backyard is the golf course. all are welcome to come over. let me know
 
would that be better than canveral nat seashore? I had not heard from you and was going to go over there instead. It looks like right now its me plus 3 more.

you are not allowed on the east side of the indian river. the futherest you can go is to the gates and they will turn you around. merritt island at kars park is the closest you can get to the guard shacks. you can go to the river but good luck on finding a spot and it will take you 2 hours to get out of town. kars park won't be any different. my house is just off 46 and you can back track through ovideo and should be quicker than 50. my pm box is now empty.
 
would jetty park be better. was hoping to get on the beach. Can you post a map or something to show me where you are talking about with the access you have? THANKS!!!

hope this helps. just an setimate on locations. its the only map that would show everything with out being too big
 
how is kars park to hang out on the water? I was almost looking forward to sitting on the beach in a lawn chair, but the view from kars looks a lot better.
 
some but it is the river shore line not the beach. the kars park location is not general knowledge to everyone as is jetty park and i won't want your day bumbed out with alot of traffic. tourist pretty much shut down titusville with the traffic. we won't go on the roads if we don't need to. do the beach thing in the morning and then head to kars park. just take 528 west to sr3 courtenay pkwy and then out to kars. i will be on the raod to kars cutting lawns in a subdivision and we are starting really early to be alot of traffic. give me a call tommorow and i give more detailed info. 321-266-8564
 
I will probably not leave town until 3-4. Last launch was easy at jetty park. No problem with space at all, but the view...and the reason for going looks better at kars. Will call.
 
Joe, where's a good place to watch from a boat? Can you get onto Mosquito Lagoon? We've seen a night launch from Veteran's Pier in Titusville before. That was spectacular!
 
becca the launch is at 6 or so i think and you and your little one are more than welcome to come over. marcye i don't know if they allow access to the lagoon through hallover canal. but if you launch your boat in the marine across from the park you can get the best view from right on the river. nobody's big heads in front of your face.
 
Hmmm...now if I can just figure out how to
a) drag hubby from work early (yeah, right) or
b) get the boat over there myself (threatening to do this may be the answer to a) ;)

I love night launches and with the end of the program in sight, I'd love to see as many as I can! We get a pretty good view from the house as we are right down 46 from you, but the closer the better. The coolest thing is watching, and the shuttle is already up in the air and all of a sudden the sound and heat catch up to you! Wow!
