Sicce Voyager on Wave-maker

Soo... I just picked up a Sicce Voyager 7, and I must say, after having every manner of power head (tunze (old and new, expensive and expensive-r), koralias, and maxi-mods) and considering the price point, these are the bees knees.
The best i've used! I am in disbelief. Things seem... too good to be true... which leads me to my question..

These things are totally silent on start and stop. No rattling, running backward...so how often can I switch it on/off/on/off before I kill it?

Anybody have long term wave-maker experience with any of these pumps?

How long will it last switching on and then off, every 30 seconds?

They sure are ugly, but if they keep working like they do I won't mind.

spc1spc1 - have you noticed any vibration or any added noise in the past 6 months? no change from when they were brand new?

no I have not. I do need to take them out and clean them, they have coraline all over them. I do have a small issue, I have mine on the back glass pointed 90* at each other. every once in a while the one on the left will turn down a little. its not the bracket but the magnet its self turns a little bit over time. maybe due to the off and on, or that its not pushing against the glass, but away from it.

It sounds like you're trying hard to be critical but its not working. :)

I think im going to buy another of these things. They're great!

I have had 2 of the 4's on my 70 cube for a year. They are controlled by my RKL and go on and off every 30 seconds, still silent! I have given them a vinegar bath and a good cleaning maybe only twice in a year. I also have a vortech mp 10 and it is the loudest thing on my tank.

Now thats what i'm talkin about!

So far i've had it switching every 60 seconds on-off, and still silent and amazing as ever.

+1
Had one on a RSW for over a year . No issues .70 cube Tank and equip sold to new owner / It is still running on that tank .
Yep had a Mp10 too . It was so loud I got id of it .

last night one of my hp 10s impeller broke. does any one know where I can get a replacement? I think a snail got in the front when it was off, and broke when it came back on.

I have 2 of the 10s on a wave maker(every 2 mins) for about six months now. no problems yet.

The 10's are now the HP 4000gph's? What size tank do you have these running on? I'm picking up a 5'x3'x2' peninsula style tank and was considering running a pair on one of the short ends on alternating flow patterns...just trying to figure out which model to choose.

I have a 300 dd 72x36x27 I run 2 of these and 4 magnum 8s.

I did email sicce, they got right back to me these pumps have a 3 year warranty. so register your pumps online. I don't have my receipt any more, and they told me to register it any ways so I can get the part cheaper. did that this morning and waiting reply back from them. I'll keep updating

Had the 2 's on a 70 cube . Ran off a Red Sea wave maker . Totally silent. No issues . Had a MP 10 on it too. I agree the mp 10 drove me crazy with the noise . The size of the Sicce's is it's biggest crutch . It sure isn't performance , reliability or silence . It has those attributes down pat .
