Sick Picasso Clown - turning pale!

Cell Girl

I bought two Picasso clowns ten days ago. One is doing fantastic, but the other little guy is struggling. He mostly swims at the surface or lays on the gravel. He has also turned pale in color, like he faded in the sun. I've attached a picture to show what I mean.

I was sure we were going to lose him right away, but it's now been over a week and he's hanging in there - no worse, no better.

He eats well (both algae pellets and mysis) and seems to be breathing normally. He actually gets very excited about food and swims up to the surface when we approach the tank to check out the food situation.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Does he appear to have a hard time breathing? Flukes can make a fish lose color but his loss of color is extreme.

Try feeding him pellets or flakes with a garlic extract that may help he could have an internal parasite and the garlic should help boost it's immune system

Try to target feed him/her some live or frozen brine shrimp using a turkey baster... Also, check to see if he/she is excreting some white stringy feces vs. brown.. if yes, then he is starving himself and not eating.
