I received my blue carpet from extremecorals today.

On the plus side it looks extremely healthy and mouth wasn't gaping. Mouth was a bit swollen but after about 20 mins it was very healthy looking.

On the negative side, this thing is larger than I had anticipated, it still has plenty of room to grow ... so I"m glad I cleaned up my sandbed last week.

The worst thing is I think its a gigantea not a haddoni.

It looks exactly like the blue one pictured in this link.

Here are the pics. These 4 are while it was getting acclimated (lights off) so I had to enhance the photos to try and show the underside.

The last photo are will all the lights on about 30 mins after it went in the tank.

My problem with it being a gigantea is that I'm not sure my lighting will be enough for it. Right now I have a mix of Leds (cree bulbs but running underpowered) and T5s. Not to mention that I'm sure the other carpet I have is a haddoni and I don't know how these two will do together in a 120g tank. The haddoni is looking fine ... no change so far.

Hard to tell due to the pictures but if it has spots under the oral disc it should be a Gig. Gigantea is my guess.

Oh well I guess we will see how well they get along. If one starts going south I"ll have to have my maintenance guys remove one and put it in their tanks.

I"ll also see what extreme corals wants to do about this situation.
