Simple DIY LED driver

I'm planning to build a DIY LED driver from scratch to light up 10 w LEDs.(1000mA)

Can I use the LM350 Current regulator? I would like to connect 3 LEDs in series per driver.

Has anyone a schematic on how to build a led driver that can be controlled (analog) using a potentiometer?

What If I add a pot to the resistor, would it work?

I would like to keep it as simple as possible..

I will be updating the process..

Guys I need help, please chime in.

Thanks for your help, I'm reading the whole article and everything starts to make sense...

Can I just change r1 to a 100k pot for analog dimming? Or am I wrong?

The power source could be a regular 30 v 3A transformer to light up 3 LEDs in series.
I think I would need to put a heatsink in the circuit to avoid overheating...

I'd really appreciate any input ..
