Since nobody visits the ID forum

Been having trouble counting tentacles, ssem to keep coming up with about 18. I'm gonna take a better look after the game. Go Pats

It is tough to find, I thought it used to be listed in the forums list, but now you have to follow link from the parent forum. Not sure why they changed that.

Any way the polyps are very small, about 1 cm across, and polyp tentacles are so short and stubby that its impossible to get a good count with the naked eye, and even with my hand lens I cant do it. So I took another round of pics hopefully I'll be able to make out more detail in this set. Any chance its a Porites?

Moved the piece so I could get some better close ups.

We got something like that at work (we probably still have it, it was really ugly), but I never got an ID on it. Ours was totally brown and the polyps would come out about a centimeter.

Awsome, I think we got it. Cant find any on Coralsearch with polyps that extend, but skeletal and coralite wise its a match. Thanks.

Working on a more thorough search for information, but having trouble finding any info on a Long tentacle Astreopora, or even a picture of such a critter aside from the listing posted earlier. I'm gonna continue my search, but if anyone has any good ideas/links off the top of their head it would be appreciated.
