Single halide aquariums

Heres my 40g breeder.

The Oceanic 37g RR is 24x18x21. I have a single 250W Ushio 14K DE bulb on mine. I am trying to post a pic but can't figure out how to do it.

smatter was correct on my tank dimensions.the lamp is 24" long by 15"wide.it is a current outer orbits fixture.

Stonecold,
Do you have any pics other than what is in your gallery? I have that exact same tank and had though of doing a one halide set up but didn't think it would work. Yours looks great so maybe I will try it that way. I would like to see some pics of the tank from a little farther away and some of the canopy with the doors open. If you would prefer to email them I will PM you my email address.

TIA,
Scott

Stoney Mahoney That is a beautiful setup!

This was my old softies setup.. (1) 14K Hamilton 175w over a 3-footer acrylic tank

The problem is that the halide was installed right on top of a center brace.. over time it made it bow upwards due to the heat, so I upgraded to a BIGGER tank :D

FYI my light is a bit too much for my platygra brain, and ricordia mushrooms so placement is very important if you overdo your lighting and you must carefully consider what types of corals you wish to keep. With higher wattage heat can be an issue too. I have a hard time keeping mine below 82-83 with the way its set up now.
