On a not so happy note my tank is showing signs of some major Crazing in the seams. Here is a post I made in the equipment forum. I hope I can get some advice on what to do although I'm afraid the advice will be replace it.
My 5 year old Acrylic Tank is getting some major Crazing in the seams. I was wondering if I need to replace this thing ASAP or do you think it will be ok for some time.
The tank is 44x18x20. It is made with 3/8 acrylic and is Euro-braced.
In hindsight this tank should have probably been made of 1/2 as it does have a noticeable bow along the front edge. Maybe 1/8th inch.
I would prefer to hang on to this for a while as I don't have the cash to get a new tank built but if there is an eminent danger of a catastrophic failure I would find a way to get it done as I don't want the tank to fail and ruin my floors/kill livestock/cause a fire.
Thanks for any advice.
