I have a few low-cost suggestions for activities that don't involve the use of your leg.

A netflix account: Rent movies and make a date night with yourself or loved ones. You can now get kettle corn that pops up in your microwave to go with, yum! You can subscribe monthly at the cheapest for $5/month and $10/month will get you several movies at once.

World of Wacraft account: Play a strangely addictive video game and chat with people from all over the world while saving the magical land of Azeroth from dragons, demons and the like. $15/month

Write! Interested in the reef hobby or have another thing you're passionate about? Write an article for a local paper, magazine, for your own sake or work on cranking out that novel. Never know when it could come in handy! Free!

Teach yourself something new: Got a question? Google.com can usually solve it. Self research something you've always wanted to know about. Join a discussion group like RC that applies to the subject to share your knowledge. Requires internet connection

Read! The library can deliver books to your door in orange county, not sure how applicable this is elsewhere.

There's more but maybe my list of living it on the cheap will help others

Ahh the Ford Escort...great 1st car. I wanted a 92 civic soooo bad when I was in school, but it never happened until I was in college.

How about selling on ebay? I recently sold some old Hot Wheels cars for about $10 each. I also sold some Disney Arcade Tokens that I had found in the house from about 7 years ago and got $30 for em. I'm telling you people love other people's junk!

I still have a lot of MicroMachines. Anyone remember those? I think I also have some old Disney Ride Tickets. The ones you got when it was free to get in you had to pay to ride the rides. I have to look for those.

My wife has been out of work since last September...I sure wish I could "get an old car, or a motorcycle"...A big screen would be cool too....(actually I'm about to get an old car, not to make into a race car, but to replace the one I cannot afford the payments on any more....)

Actually if you're not like some people, and don't have money but you want a pet project there is a place called freecycle.org

People list free stuff on their they dont want anymore, so you could look for some old beatup stuff to repair and make into your own project, too!

Well excuse my appearent wealth, but i can't help if i dropped out of highschool and know how to manage my money well. I'm not like some people with a bachelor's degree in whining and a lack of spelling skills.

My race car has been 20+ years in the building and was bought in 1989 for under $1000 to start with, and built a few dollars ata time over many years. You can buy a motorcycle with $0 down and less than $150 a month right now if you have any credit at all. Not that a motorcycle would do you much good with a pulled achilies tendon lol, but It just amazes me at how many people in this hobby sit and whine about how broke they are and put others down because they may have a few dollars. If you're that broke, you may want to look into freshwater, or maybe dumpster diving. I sure wish i could afford a trip to Seattle but some people just don't have it like that .

I was only joking around to start with and making suggestions on how someone might occupie thier time and i get blasted for my appearent wealth lmao. I sure wish someone would talk to my bank and credit card companies and tell them about all the money i have. They think it's just because i don't have a house payment or any car payments, and manage what money i do have well that i have a few dollars left over after paying the bills i do have. Maybe someone with a college degree could call them for me and explain my absurd amount of wealth for me so i can get more credit lmao.

Not sure how you damaged your tendon, but i seem to remember Morgan and Morgan advertising that some common drug out there was causing Akilies tendon problems. You may want to give them a call if you have been on any medications lately.

Come on guys I did not start this thread to have people start yelling at each other. I just was bored and wrote it down. Damn people we should all get along we all have something in common. The tanks. Calm down. I was just bored.

Now as for the disability checks calm down on that. My brother has received disability since he was 18 and is now 24. Life happens that is why it is there.
