EuroReef (3 years), then switched to AquaC EV-180 (18 months) when I thought that was the latest and greatest. Then over to ASM G3 (6 months) and now the H&S A200-1260. I almost think that the A200 is overkill for my 175g.![]()
With the right pump an Aqua C will stay up with D&S or Deltec. It will blow an ASM out of the water.Originally posted by xtrstangx
Neither. The AquaC's aren't great and the Coralife's aren't great if you have a bigger tank (they are way overrated)
On your 75g (I assume), I would look at an ASM G3. They are about $235 so its right in your price range.

I would definitely agree with the plankton friendly claim. At first, on my EV1000 running a mag36, I was getting microbubbles back into the tank. After hanging a filter sock on the output for a couple days I found 100s of pods squirming around in the filter sock.Originally posted by labatt
thanks for the info mike, any thoughts on an aqua c w/mag 5?
OOH, and another thing, my lfs tried to tell me that the aquac's are "plankton friendly", I think this is most likely BS, are they stupid, or am I?lol
Sorry I know nothing about the Remora/Urchin line. My only experience is with the EV. Ask the question in the AquaC Club thread.Originally posted by mg426
I have a Remora pro running with a MAG 5. Works OK not great But OK. You really think a EHIEM will make it work that much better???
