too tall...i guess ill go with the ppw one.
so it should be enough for a 210 in the future?
swc just not comparable? thanks again for your help!
if you go up to 200 gallons and stock it medium to heavy I would go to the MSX 250A. Great bang for the buck unit
Thoughts on a Octopus DNW-200 skimmer for a BB SPS 120 average stocked tank? Better for 75 g?
Thanks
IS there a reason you want a recirc skimmer? or are you running it external?
Hi Mojo,
I'm not sure how you compare, but, how much "better", percentage wise if you can, is the ATB840 over the Vertex IN180?
Or, how much better are the cone designs over the older standard designs like the Vertex?
I'm just about to pull the trigger on the new skimmer and wanted info on this.
Thanks again,
Todd
A couple of general questions,
why does it take so long for a skimmer to break in? What is happening durring this break in period?
What is in the declorination additives that causes the skimmers to overflow?
Why does feeding kill the foam head? How long should it take to come back?
What would make a skimmer skim wet no matter how it is adjusted? Is it bubble size?
well bubble size has a little to do with it. But you should be able to lower the water level and skim dry. just be patience. depends on the pump as well and the amount of air draw and a balance to the neck air ratioWhat would make a skimmer skim wet no matter how it is adjusted? Is it bubble size?
I have had all three, I would say for your setup I would go with the ATB for sure. The bk mini is really nice but a tad big for your setup and then the alpha 170 is nice but I would got with the atb then the alpha.
Mojo,
What if I threw the Supermarin 200 internal into the mix. What would you choose?
Thanks,
Ken
