Don't forget the SRO XP2000 cone for $399.
It says on Reef specialty that it is rated for a heavily stocked 120, would it be big enough for my tank ? is it better than the other skimmers I posted ?
thanks

Mojo for the same price which would you buy. Super Reef Octopus XP-2000 Cone Skimmer Or Super Reef Octopus 2000 Internal Skimmer , and why?
Mojo what do you think of the new SWC 150 BMK? Looks like an outstanding skimmer.
Personally I think they will jack up the price like they did with the 120, 160 cone's
I started another thread but then I saw this one so I guess I can get more help here. I have a 150g tank that I want to have a mixed reef but mostly sps dominated what skimmer out of these would you recommend ? or do you think there are better ones for the money ? I would like to keep it under 400 and be a fairly quit skimmer since it will be going in my room. I know the MRC needs a motor to go with it but I have a mag 9.5 that I can maybe use with it.
Thanks in advanced!
ATI Bubble Master 200 Protein Skimmer $349
SWC Xtreme 200 protein Skimmer $289
MRC MR-2 PROTEIN SKIMMER [MR-2] $380
Reef Dynamics INS180 Protein Skimmer $399
SRO 2000 cone $399
I posted this earlier any advice ?
So what is the consensus on a vinegar bath for a new skimmer? Is it worth the trouble? On a recirc model like I am getting,Octopus DNWB-150, can I just seal off the input and output and run it in place for a few hours with some vinegar and warm water?
for a 150g. The SRO would be a really good fit. THe vertex in 180 and the new octo extreme xs series with the sicce syncra pump 200 model.
Hope this helps.
I have the bmk 150 running on my 40 breeder right now. I ll have to go measure some for you. But it would work well for you. I think the smaller swc 120 would be too small. If the bmk 150 by chance wont work the ocean force 100 would work.
