I got the new skimmer today(yay....) I assembled it and went to put it in my sump, and it didn't fit (ugh.....) have to wait till tomorrow to buy an elbow so I can change the angle that the pump rests to fit in the square area in the sump. In the future down the road where is the best place to get a sump

Jennifer...all sumps are not alike! Champion lighting has very good prices..brs has good prices on reef octopus sumps..or you make your own (not necessarily cheaper).

It fits all but like 1/4"......dang bulkhead...

I built my from a 30 long, 3 squares of plate glass, and aquarium silicone. Very easy and cheap compared to some premade sumps.

Did you try it at different angles, Or turn the return pipe in another direction? You can play around with the way to set that skimmer up. If you were not so far i would come over and get er done for ya!

We Did....we twisted and turned it.....there was no way around it...the outflow and intake on the skimmer are like at a 45 degree angle so it fits like a triangle in my sump which puts it on top of a bulkhead no matter which way I spin it.....Chris said if he got an elbow he could turn the direction of the pump which would then line up parallel to the sides of the sump and it would fit......we just live in the boonies to the point that hardware stores close at like 4pm.
