I have a reef octo hob 2000...yes it's new and I know it req a break in period, but it keeps overflowing into return chamber. I was wondering if it mattered to have return above/below water line. I've tried both but no difference. Also is there anything I can do to make it stop overflowing? I have air wide open, btw it's on a 75g if that matters. Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, the water level on this one does not matter.

The instructions state to have the output above the waterline or else it will back up. HTH.
Yeah I've tried it both ways...neither better than the other, closed everything off and just let it run and it didn't overflow, have the air intake barley cracked right now just to get some skimming going, but still alot of mircobubbles as it is new, but hopefully it will calmn down in the next few days.
The 90deg pipe in the return chamber..is it better to have facing down or up? I've seen it both ways, just wondering if it one is better than the other?
