Skinny mimic tang...

I got a tiny mimic tang from EBay that is eating my hair and bryopsis in the 120 like it's going out of style, but it is staying very thin. What have you guys and gals done to get more meat on their bones? I know it could be something like intestinal worms or something along those lines (I think rcmike had some issues with that), but getting it out of the 120 to treat will be difficult until I break it down... It doesn't seem to like nori, but loves arctipods and hairy algae...

I had a blue regal tang that had worms. I did a lot of research and found out that you could use certain cat/dog dewormers on fish. I can't remember the active ingredient but I remember the wormer was Earliworm that I used. I almost want to say it was piprazine. I also read it is very hard to overdose so I just put some flake food in a small container and poured a little wormer in with it. I left the fish in the reef and just fed them all with it. I can't remember how long exactly but I think once a day for about a week was what I fed. After a couple of days I actually saw a ball of worms come out of the tang. NASTY! All of the fish actually liked it and I figured it would help them if they had some worms also. The tang fattened up a few weeks after the treatment.

Gary, I hate to say it, but I have had very little success keeping that fish. have had 2 of them and they seem to wilt away even though they ate like hogs. If I remember right, I had a slight infection on my PDB and I got some special flake from the critter. it was their own formula that was treated with something that worked like a charm. they just gave me a little sample in a little medicine bottle....
