Skunk Cleaners

Does anyone currently keep a cleaner (Lysmata hispidus) with their horses? Sehorse.org has them as a 1 "still pretty safe. There could be some, albeit minor competition for food. The fish will be found in the water column but are not fast swimmers, and therefore, less likely to cause seahorse stress. There are really no issues with aggression to speak of"

I am wondering what the issue would be, possibly their attempt to clean the horse becoming stressful for them??

The "Skunk Cleaner Shrimp" is more often referred to by Lysmata amboinensis.
The biggest issue with keeping them with a large Seahorse would be it being eaten.
If it's a small-sized shrimp a large Seahorse might see it as food.

Also if there you keep a pair of these shrimp that do mate, the Seahorse may be attracted to the female when she's carrying her young. The could try "snick" the young from under her tail.
