First rule about fight club is not to talk about fight club.

I had a great time even tho applicant75 had suspiciously the best luck ever.

The donations were awesome, and the LFS sales were killer too.

Thanks for a good time everybody.

Great swap! Great idea scoring a venue with a bar! I give props to who ever came up with that idea. Anyway, I had a great time and scored some sweet raffle prizes.

I didn't get to stay too long but there were a lot of people with a lot of stuff. I can't wait for the next one, but I do have a few suggestions:

- A larger room. You seemed to have under estimated the popularity of your frag swap. I, for one, found it far to close quarters.

- Try to have people with things to sell show up early. I got there at 12 and it seemed like all of the people were in the process of setting up. Since I had other commitments, I didn't get to see even half of the stuff that was there. Also, it constricted flow while everyone tried to find a place to put their stuff.

- Name tags. I understand that most of the people know each other but for those of that don't, nametags would be very helpful. When I asked someone where I could find coral X they would say talk to (insert name), then I had to ask who (insert name) is and where they are.

- Don't have it at a restaurant/bar. I felt like a complete a$$ walking back and forth by the poor people that got stuck next to that door. For a normal meeting it wouldn't be such a big deal, but for an event of this nature it seems inappropriate. I know if I were one of those people I would have been mighty ticked off. If you do have it at a location of that nature, try to get one that will allow non-intrusive access to the event.

These are just my opinions, do with them as you will.

I had a good time (was the fella in the blues jersey)and tho I didn't buy anything I got a good feel for yalls Club and hope there will be another event of this sort soon. I introduced my self to a few kind people and I'm sure there were many more in attendance must have been there was a good turn out and tons of frags...Nice Club great event and personally liked that it was in a Bar got away to the other side to avoid the setup and had a pitcher with friends old and new.

We definitely underestimated what the attendance would be. This was our first swap so we had nothing to go on as far as previous experiences. The turnout was huge and we thank everyone for coming. All we can say is that we will be a little more informed when we plan our next one.

We posted that the swap began at noon. Those who chose to come and set up early did so. Those who did'nt got there when they could. We can't tell folks to be ready when the door opens or they can't bring anything to sell. Most of those people are friends and members ( or at least prospective members ) who lead busy lives. We had a fair amount of people who drove distances of over 200 miles to come. For us to put them on a schedule and say that they must be ready by noon would be shooting ourselves in the foot. We're glad for whomever came no matter what time they arrived.

Name tags........it was an afterthough and we will most likely have them available for the next one. Let's hope everyone puts one on.

One of the reasons that Mattinglys was chosen was because I eat there quite often and am often one of the poor suckers that sits near the room when something is going on. If you think we were bad just try being there when someone is hosting a childs birthday party there. Kids are running everywhere all the time. Folks who go there are used to it. It's a neighborhood bar/restaurant and that is what normally happens there.

Some have expressed that they thought that having it there was a good idea....I do too. On one of my forays to the bar area I was called over by a couple of guys and was talking to them. I sat down and talked with them while they poured me a beer. One is now a member and the other has just expressed his pleasure with having it there.

All in all, it was just like everything else, a learning experience, but we are pleased with how it turned out.

I enjoyed the venue, I thought is was great, and as cap said, we had no idea of just how many would show up. As with any planned event. You figure for 10 you will end up with 4 or 24. I liked haveng the bar area off the the back, so you could escape for a few minute if you wanted, There was also a game room for the kids to have something to do. which is a big bonus compared to a lot of places.

I like the food... those wings were pretty tasty!

All in all, I enjoyed the meeting. Name tags and and a bigger venue are easy enough to fix. Bar/food issues are personality dependent. Its a far cry from my first frag swap held at a baptist church!

The only thing I was concerned about at first was if this place was child friendly... however I soon realized that it was (there were a heck of alot of ankle biters around there... and that is a good thing imo).

Thanks to the folks who donated so much. I can't wait for the next one!
