SLASH Meets CIMA Frag Swap and Visit to Rick Rottet's Greenhouse!!

For the record, I was only going to kill the guy making sexist comments. (Hard to imagine how such thoughts would come to a person who had just been led to the middle of nowhere by fellow men who did not bring maps, compass, or directions. From where does criticism of women, the entire gender, come? One would expect such antiquated views from the elderly. One would think that such YOUNG people would be more enlightened to modern thought.)
To their credit, they did get us back to the highway, at which point I decided to bug-out and drive my old bones home, rather than continue to follow my otherwise charming companions who-knows-where.

I am DEAD tired...dog didn't tear my house apart while I was gone but is now SUPER hyper. I agree with Kathy...had there been more women at this meeting we wouldn't have gotten lost 500 times! And Stupid'sReef, I caught the majority of the whole debacle on film...the corn fields, the 4 guys in the bug, tanks, the greenhouse, etc. However, everyone will have to wait till tomorrow (well, later today) for pics...they should be up by about 12 pm Thanks so much to Rick and the CIMA gang...for being "children of the corn" you guys sure are cool! Next SLASH trip should be an overnighter to Shedd, Inland Aquatics, and Captive oceans. Hopefully this road trip will occur during Thanksgiving or Christmas break so that I don't put 1000 miles on my car in 24 hours by driving in from Columbia :lol: I'm not complaining, it was an awesome trip! Pics to come

Yes Chelsy, Capncapo spoke of the Idea of a trip to Shedd's and Inland Aquatics. I would like to see him post a thread about the Shedd trip, I liked his Idea of visting the LFS one day and then Shedd's the following. And taking the family will work for me as my wife has been wanting to go to shedd's and love's the Idea of making it a weekend road trip. Maybe he could post a thread with advance time for everyone who would enjoy going able to set a date??

Pics! These are in order of operation...
Greenhouse:
Tanks with frags in them, these were on the right side of the greenhouse. The screens are to block the amount of light coming in. Rick's still trying to get the lighting down, the spectrum is a little skewed, working on trying to reduce the amount of red coming in.

Ok, we were never "lost" we just made a geographical err in judgement which as you can clearly see EVERY road is surrounded by CORN! We did have maps, However if you've ever went anywhere in IL. you'll know that they will and do, name the same road with 3 to 4 diffrent name's. Like Route A is also state 1 or RC 90 or 800 East for 2 miles and then 1500 North. However Greg had directions to ricks and Henry's but againt's Greg's will we voted to try and take the back route out following dirrection from MapQuest instead of the one's the Greg had. But never lost I tell you.
Ok now as far as this "dance" you are are just jealous that you can't bust a move like the old pro here :smokin: :bum:! And if you had seen Rich running down the road PLEADING "Wait for me please oh please wait for me"! You would have dance too.
