Slight vibration

Hard to explain.

I have a Tunze 6100 on single contoller. Is it normal for the pump to slightly vibrate (shudder) right when going from a lower setting to a higher setting during pulsing?

I am only wondering if I need a new circular "toothed" section where the pump attaches? Maybe it is worn down and not keeping the pump locked into place. Its not like it spinning gradually to another angle. I just always assumed they would stay completely still when on?

No, they do move a bit as the speed changes, this is normal provided it is not extreme.

Roger, after a day 6100 is not staying still. I point it from the back corner towards the middle of the tank. After a few hours it has moved approx 15-20 degrees.

I think I just need a new "geared" assembly. Where can I get this? It must be a bad set on mine. My 6000 on the other end of the tank has not rotated whatsoever. These are both brand new.

Can you help me out? Thanks
